Family chiropractic serving the Windsor-Essex region.
Focused on restoring spinal health, improving mobility, and optimizing function.

Measure. Plan.
Adjust. Re-evaluate.
Are everyday movements becoming more difficult? If bending to tie your shoes, turning your head, or getting up from a chair isn't as easy as it once was, reduced mobility, changes in posture, or musculoskeletal discomfort may be affecting your quality of life. At Nova Chiropractic, we begin with a comprehensive assessment that includes a detailed health history and physical examination. When clinically indicated, diagnostic imaging may also be recommended to help us better understand your condition. This thorough evaluation allows us to develop an individualized care plan based on your specific needs and clinical findings.
Every patient’s care begins with a comprehensive health history, consultation, and detailed physical examination. This thorough assessment helps us better understand your condition, identify contributing factors, and develop a personalized care plan tailored to your needs. When clinically indicated, digital X-ray imaging may also be used to provide additional information and support our clinical decision-making.
Your Report of Findings is where everything comes together. We’ll review your health history, examination findings, and any imaging, explain what we’ve found, discuss the possible underlying cause of your concerns, and present our recommendations for care. Our goal is to ensure you have a clear understanding of your condition and the confidence to make informed decisions about your health.
Every treatment is tailored to your individual needs and goals, and guided closely by your examination findings. Using a thoughtful combination of evidence-informed chiropractic care and supportive therapies, we focus on restoring movement, improving function, and helping your body perform at its very best. As your condition changes over time, your care plan evolves with you to support lasting, meaningful results.
Throughout your care plan, we schedule reevaluations at key milestones to measure your progress, assess your response to treatment, and determine whether any changes are appropriate. These assessments allow us to ensure your care remains personalized, goal-oriented, and aligned with your current needs helping us provide the right treatment at the right time while keeping you informed every step of the way.
What we actually do.
Everything we offer is done in-house, under one roof.

The foundation of what we do. Specific spinal adjustments delivered by hand or instrument, informed by posture analysis. Gentle, specific care for families across Tecumseh, Windsor, Lakeshore, and LaSalle. Palmer College of Chiropractic, known as the Fountainhead of Chiropractic, is where the profession began and the first chiropractic education was established. For over a century, Palmer has helped shape the profession through education, research, and clinical excellence, and is recognized for teaching the Palmer Package of chiropractic techniques, including Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, and Toggle Recoil.

When appropriate, spinal traction and corrective exercises may be incorporated alongside chiropractic adjustments to help gently decompress the spine, reduce stress on the discs and surrounding nerves, and promote healthier movement and function.

Hands-on myofascial release, trigger-point therapy, and IASTM (Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) to ease the muscle tension that builds around structural problems supporting your adjustments.

Specific posture and stabilization exercises prescribed to your findings - coached & administered in-clinic and continued at home, with support from our team.

Patient education happens throughout the process - during your history, consultation, adjustments, and rehab.

Where we can help.
If your condition involves the spine or musculoskeletal system, there's a strong possibility we may be able to help improve your function, mobility, and overall quality of life.
Lumbar stiffness and pain that radiates down the leg - commonly a disc or nerve-root issue.
Many chronic headaches start in the neck (Cervicogenic).
Forward head posture, rounded shoulders, pelvic tilt, coordination, and spinal shifts.
Spinal joint dysfunction can affect surrounding tissues, movement, and neurological function. In certain conditions, changes in spinal structures may contribute to irritation or compression of neural tissues.
Listen. Examine.
Explain.
Your first visits are about getting to know you and your concerns: your history, a thorough examination, and imaging when clinically indicated. You'll also learn how your spine and central nervous system work together, and what may be contributing to how you feel. Treatment begins once we've walked you through the findings and you've chosen to proceed.
Please arrive 10 minutes early on your first visit. Filling out the intake form ahead of time helps check-in go quickly. Wear comfortable clothing.
-
01Day 1Consultation & history
A detailed health history to understand your health concerns, such as loss of mobility, pain, discomfort or weakness. It is an important part of how we, as your healthcare provider, may be able to help you work toward your health goals.
-
02Day 1Physical exam
Motion palpation is a hands-on approach used to identify areas of joint fixation, usually associated with restricted muscles, ligaments and tendons due to repetitive work, daily activities, muscle imbalances or injury. Combined with neurological and orthopedic testing, it may help us identify the possible source of your concerns.
-
03Day 1 · if indicatedOn-site X-rays
If your history, consultation, and physical examination indicate the need for further evaluation, we offer convenient on-site digital X-ray imaging to help guide an accurate diagnosis and care plan.
-
04Between visitsPersonalized care plan
Between visits, Dr. Jelic reviews your health history, your examination findings and any X-rays, including a biomechanical line-drawing analysis when imaging was taken. He then builds a patient-centered care plan around your concerns and your health goals.
-
05Day 2Report of findings & plan

Dr. Jelic brings knowledge of spinal anatomy, muscles, and movement to every case. Every plan begins with a thorough examination and postural analysis, uses our in-clinic traction and rehabilitation equipment where appropriate, and includes structured re-evaluations along the way. We build specific plans based on what we measure.
Adjustments themselves are generally painless. Some patients feel mild soreness for 24 hours after the first few visits - comparable to the feeling after a workout.
